Every year, 60 million people in the US alone suffer from mental illness.

But...

2/3 of these people do not get the help they need because of the dire shortage of therapists,

and the time, cost, and stigma

still associated with seeking care.

Marie Lesaicherre, Ph.D., MBA, founder and CEO, Akesa Health

Akesa Health’s digital intervention is designed to act as a first step or as a supplement to therapy and empower people to unlock their brain’s self-healing power.

By integrating components of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), gamification, binaural sounds, and tools to increase self-awareness, Akesa empowers people to transform anxiety and stress into resilience.

Akesa is scientifically-rooted and easy to use

Resilience can be learned

We are not born with or without resilience.

Resilience is a skill, like riding a bike, that we can learn.

Growing resilient is key.

Resilience helps protect against depression, deal with anxiety, and correlates with physical and mental health.

Our name is inspired by Akeso,

the Greek goddess of curing sickness

and healing wounds.

Unlike her sister Panakeia (Panacea, Cure-All)

she represented the process of a curing

rather than the cure itself.
